What we store

When you file a case we store the item, price, currency and excuse you type. When someone votes we store the vote and the optional one-line note. There are no accounts and we do not ask for your name or email.

To limit spam we store a one-way hash of your IP address with each case and vote. We cannot turn the hash back into your IP address.

Your browser keeps a random ID and, for your own cases, a private owner key in local storage. They never identify you personally.

Who can see a case

Anyone with the link. Case pages are hidden from search engines. Do not put personal information in a case.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. You can block cookies in your browser.

Deleting a case

Email hello@cartcourt.com with the case link and we will delete it.
